Hey Google, what's new in AI? - an Ada Lovelace Day webinar

The highlight of the webinar is the talk "Hey Google, what's new in AI?" from Dr Susara van den Heever. Gemma Dawson and Jess Rees will also share some quick lightning talks.

Susara van den Heever, PhD is Director of Customer Engineering Practice, EMEA, Google Cloud. She builds, leads, and grows teams to help people and businesses be more efficient, save time, manage resources better, and make better environmental choices.

She was part of building the Smarter Cities Technology Center at IBM Research Ireland, which helped to make cities better places to live. After she moved to IBM Analytics Product Management, she lead the IBM Optimization inbound and outbound Product Management, and eventually established and grew the IBM EMEA Data Science Elite team, a team of customer-facing Data Science and AI "black-belts" that accompanied customers on their Data and AI discovery journeys. She completed her path at IBM as Director of IBM Data and AI Expert Labs and Learning, Executive Decision Scientist, and Member of the IBM Academy of Technology. In 2021, she started leading the Customer Engineering Practice EMEA for Google Cloud - another team of "black-belts", focused on bringing innovation and exceptional value to customers on their data and cloud journeys. This team helps to improve the world around us by leveraging data, AI, and engineering, combined with the latest technology.
